Past and future in the now. Bruna

Life unfolds sometimes slowly and we all proceed by trial and error, knowing that something incomplete will become a draft of completeness.

It will never be complete at all, it is the journey of life that requires it.

In 2012 Federica Salemi, illustrator and a friend of mine for years, designed the labyrinth you see in the image.

I knew it was an incomplete symbol because it called me from afar and I decided to go inside it and go through it for the umpteenth time.

Now that woman came out of it, she found the treasure hidden in the maze.

And the symbol has changed.

I wanted to keep it to remind myself all the way, the dark days, the hardships, the mental traps, the search for my people with the lantern, my person and the consequent unfulfilled expectations, that feeling of heaven closed over me, courageous decisions, leaps into the void without the guarantees we all seek.

They call it vulnerability and I know what I'm talking about.

As a foreigner I can try it on the skin every day, because every day contains in itself unimaginable challenges being all new, at this age above all.

This and much more has made me the woman I am today and I will be even more in the future version.

Giulia Santini is a young woman who is preparing for a Law degree.

Giulia and I share many things.

Giulia is a rare pearl of devotion to ‘Kalos’ (sense of beauty, greek language) and is a young woman who has a rare sensibility and these gifts place her directly as an artist in my eyes.

I know something about young talents since they have been part of my life for 28 years.

I'm rarely wrong when I find a talent.

Giulia succeeded in capturing the real me, the one beyond the veil, as I gave her very few indications.

I really let myself be looked through, thanks to an extreme confidence in her due to a moment in which I played everything in different fields of my life.

Once you know how to jump then it becomes tiring to stop doing it, for the outcome is always courage.

The real one, the one that whispers and doesn't scream, the one that tells you that there is no emptiness to welcome you but an invincible spring because you will always be closer to yourself.

Giulia was able to capture a moment without being present when the event took place.

The design is by hand, this design is contrary to the current ways of marketing which demands a logo to be strong, bold and impactful.

If we think of Nike we know immediately what the symbol is.

I don't care, I've always played to the beat of my heart.

Maybe it will be perfected in the future, maybe not.

I am Intermundi® and it evolves and walks with me in the times of rain and sun.

Giulia gave me, returned and remembered through a drawing, a message.

She gave me a hand at a time when I was staggering, it happens and it happens to us adults too.

Then life answered me through her, a young woman took the adult woman by the hand and showed her that ‘that woman’ was still present, untouched by time and the whims of an external world not in line with her inner world.

Giulia, above all doubts and uncertainty, could see it.
